Map of Florida - 1951
This highly decorated map of Florida was drawn by American illustrator David D. C. Mink and shows Florida's history, flora, fauna, and folklore through a series of illustrations depicting animals, produce and people of the state and referencing to explorers, marine life, and pirate history . In the Gulf of Mexico, a cartouche features pirates, Seminole Indians, adventurers, priests, and explorer Ponce de Leone along with treasure chests and alligators.

When you acquire one of our pieces, you're getting more than just a printed copy - you're getting a revitalized historical treasure, meticulously brought back to its authentic form.This piece is printed and assembled in our downtown Los Angeles studio using our 12 color Canon Pro 4100 large format printer on Epson Exhibition Satin Canvas, a heavyweight 23 mil semi-gloss textured canvas that is enhanced with protective elastic polymers. Decorative wood, stained and varnished is added on the top and bottom, with two eye-hooks mounted on the top piece for hanging. We also supply a jute rope twine that can be attached between the two eye-hooks to complete the vintage feel of a roll down canvas scroll.
