Northern Ireland - 1947
Pictorial map of Northern Ireland, designed and drawn by British cartographer Ernest Clegg in 1947. Vignettes show the Parliament Buildings - Stromont and Caledon House, the ancestral home of Field Marshall Viscount Alexander. The map presents various points of interests, as well as coats of arms and heraldic shields pictured in very high detail. Included are decorated blocks of texts telling elements of history related to World War II and the region. Also included are quotes by Sir Winston Churchill from May,6, 1943.
